Tummy Rumbling: How Does Your Stomach Talk to Your Head?

Mental stress can cause physical reactions in the body - for example, a nervous stomach. Currently, researchers at Missouri State University's Center for Biomedical and Life Sciences (CBLS) within Jordan Valley Innovation Center are taking a close look at how the central nervous system and digestive system communicate. Rhy Norton, research microbiologist at CBLS and biology faculty for Missouri State, is joined by Dr. Paul Durham, director of CBLS and biology professor, to discuss the research of the gut brain axis.
