Looking for Ticks in Missouri

What species of ticks live in Missouri and in what quantities?

Dr. David Claborn, director of the Master of Public Health program at Missouri State University, is trying to answer these questions through his latest tick surveillance project. It’s made possible through a grant from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

A native of Malaysia, Emily moved to Springfield in 2010 and started working at Missouri State University in 2014. She’s currently the assistant director in the Office of Strategic Communication. She has a BA in Mass Communications from Colorado State University-Pueblo and a Master of Journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
