City of Springfield Celebrates Recycling

Wednesday, November 14, is America Recycles Day, and the City of Springfield Environmental Services is celebrating with free coffee, doughnuts and prizes for the public.

Coffee and doughnuts will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Lone Pine Recycling Center, the Franklin Avenue Recycling Center and the Yardwaste Recycling Center. 

You can also pick up new "I Recycle" stickers and have the chance to win giveaway items.

According to the City of Springfield, America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, is the onlyi nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.
