With a goal of planting 200 trees this fall, the City of Springfield’s Neighborwoods program is asking local groups and non-profits for help.
This reforestation program would like commitments from possible participants to water and provide general care for 20 to 30 trees for a minimum of three years. City funds are used for purchasing and planting tax-exempt trees from area nurseries.
This will be the 10thyear of the Nieghborwoods program. The fall deadline is August 1st.
