Wonders Of Wildlife Prepares To Reopen This Weekend

WOW

Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium will reopen this Saturday, May 23, after being closed for more than two months due to the coronavirus.

Once it reopens, there will be limits on how many can enter each day as well as timed entry reservations. Tickets can only be purchased online, and there will be enhanced cleaning methods, according to a news release. The museum will have expanded hours, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, to allow for social distancing. Some areas will remain closed for now, including pop up bubbles and the swinging bridge.  Shark Dive will reopen June 1 with extra sanitation measures.

The museum is receiving help in getting ready to reopen from the Florida Aquarium, which was one of the first aquariums in North America to reopen its doors to the public, according to WOW. Two of the Florida aquarium's executives recently toured the Springfield museum to see the guidelines it’s putting into place.
