Mediacom Ice Park will offer free ice skating Thursday night (11/22) from 5 to 6.  Skate rental is $3.  

The Gillioz Theatre, 325 Park Central East in downtown Springfield, will show the movie, “Christmas Vacation,” Friday night (11/23) at 8.   

Stockton State Park will host the Black Friday Mountain Bike Ride Friday morning (11/23) at 10.  Choose from an 8.5 or a 4.5 mile ride.  

Springfield Little Theatre presents “A Christmas Story” through December 9 at the Landers Theatre, 311 E. Walnut in downtown Springfield.  

The Moxie FLIX series, featuring films kids should see before they turn 13, will continue this weekend with a showing of "Shrek," from 2001.  Showtime is 4:30 p.m. Friday (11/23) and 10 a.m. Saturday (11/24) with free admission at the Moxie Cinema, 305 S. Campbell in Springfield.  

The Moxie Cinema's Staff Picks Series will feature the 2001 film, "Ghost World,"Friday night (11/23) at 8:45 and Saturday (11/24) at 12:45 p.m. at 305 S. Campbell in Springfield.  

The Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Tournament continues Friday and Saturday (11/23-11/24) at Hammons Student Center.  

Branson’s Gift of Lights, holiday light display, is open through January 1 on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.  

The City of Monett’s Christmas light display, Festival of Lights, can be seen nightly through December 31 at Highways 37 and 60 in Monett.  

The program, “Teen Friday Nights,” will be held Friday night (11/23) from 6 to 8 for grades six through 12 at the Library Station.  

Anyone 13 and older is invited to see “The Avengers: Infinity War”Saturday night (11/24) at 6 at the Library Station.  

A display about turkeyswill be at Shepherd of the Hills Conservation Center, 483 Hatchery Rd. in Branson, Saturday (11/24) from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Ozark Whittlers and Woodcarvers will transform wood into treasures Saturday (11/24) from 1 to 4 p.m., and you’re invited to watch.  Learn more here

A Model Railroad Show and Swap Meetwill be held Saturday (11/24) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Joplin Museum Complex, at 7th and Schifferdecker in Joplin.  Admission is $3 for adults, and children 12 and under will be admitted free.  

Kids in grades K-8 can create structures with LEGOS, blocks and other building materials during “Build-it Saturday” Saturday morning (11/24) at 11 at the Republic Branch Library.  

Teen idol, Frankie Avalon, will present a concert Sunday night (11/25) at 8 at the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre in Branson.  

Jewel’s Handmade Holiday Tour comes to the Gillioz Theatre, 325 Park Central East in Springfield, Sunday night (11/25) at 7.  

The Essential Film Series at the Moxie Cinema, 305 S. Campbell in Springfield, continues with the 1941 film, "The Lady Eve," Sunday (11/25) at 3:15 p.m. and Monday (11/26) at 7:15 p.m.
