Family Fridays in the Garden will focus on the plants, animals and history of the gardens at Nathanael Greene-Close Memorial Park.  Meet on the rooftop garden at the Botanical Center at 7:30 Friday night (7/20) for “From Trail of Tears to Greenway Trail.” 

The Movies at Founders Park Series continues this weekend.  See “Cars 3” Friday night (7/20) and “Jumanji:  Welcome to the Jungle” Saturday night (7/21) at dusk.  Admission is free.  Concessions will be available for purchase.  Take blankets and lawn chairs.

The Springfield Laserswill be in action at Cooper Tennis Complex this weekend with matches Friday night (7/20) at 7 and Sunday night (7/22) at 6.  

Springfield Contemporary Theatre presents “The Elephant Man” Friday night and Saturday night (7/20-7/21) and Sunday (7/22) at 2 at 431 S. Jefferson in Springfield.

Moxie Flix, a series focusing on essential films for kids to see before age 13, will feature the 1992 film, “Porco Rosso,” Friday, Saturday and Sunday (7/20-7/22).  

“Night at the Library: Rockin’ Summer Reading Program Read-In” will be held Friday night (7/20) from 5:30 to 7:30 for families with kids in grades K-5.  The evening will include games, music, forts to read in, a family engineering competition and an obstacle course challenge. 

The Baseball Card and Collectors Show is Friday through Sunday (7/20-7/22) at Battlefield Mall in Springfield.  

The 63rd annualOzark Booster Club IPRA Pro Rodeo is at Finley River Park in Ozark Friday night and Saturday night (7/20-7/21). 

The program, “Nature Art: With a Chinese Brushstroke,” will be offered Saturday (7/21) at 1 and 2:45 p.m.  Learn how to capture the essence of local plants and animals with a Chinese-style painting.  To register, (417) 888-4237. 

A Summer Junior Ranger Camp for ages eight to 12 will be held Saturday (7/21) at George Washington Carver National Monument in Diamond.  The event will give kids a behind the scenes look at what it’s like to be a park ranger, and they’ll learn more about George Washington Carver and the National Park Service. 

Me Too Springfield presents“Harry Potter Trivia in the Park”Saturday (7/21) at 1 p.m. at Sequiota Park, 3500 S. Lone Pine in Springfield.  The cost to participate is $5, and proceeds will go to help victims of sexual assault.

Rublecon 2018 will be held Saturday (7/21) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Relics Antique Mall, 2015 W. Battlefield.  The comic toys and collectibles convention will feature artists, writers and vendors.  

The fourth annual Meals on Wheels Car and Bike Show will be held Saturday (7/21) at the Boone County Senior Activity and Wellness Center, 1516B Rock Springs Rd. in Harrison, Arkansas.  You’ll be able to purchase a meal of a BBQ sandwich, baked beans, corn and dessert for $6.  Proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels.  

The 3rd Saturday Music Series continues this weekend at Basin Spring Park in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  Listen to live music by the Cate Brothers Saturday (7/21) at 5 p.m.  Admission is free. 

The Firefly Fling will be held Saturday night (7/21) from 6 to 10 at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  The event will feature a variety of children’s activities, and children are invited to dress as their favorite fairies or woodland creatures. 

"Yoga for Health"  for adults will be offered Saturday (7/21) at 2 p.m. at the Library Station. 

The program, “African American Trailblazers,” starts at 1 p.m. Sunday (7/22) at George Washington Carver National Monumentin Diamond.
