The Missouri Trout Fisherman’s Association will hold a fly-tying demonstration at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center Saturday (1/26) from 1 to 4. 

It’s National Skating Month, and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board invites the public to try ice skating tomorrow (1/26) at Jordan Valley Ice Park.  Free skating and skate rental will be available from 1 to 2:30, and coaches will be on the ice to assist beginners of all ages.   Learn more here

The Discovery Center of Springfield will host “Science Sprouts: Planet Party” for kids six and younger Saturday (1/26) at 10 a.m.  Activities are free with admission to the center.

417 Magazine’s Whiskey Festivalwill be held Saturday night (1/26) at 5 at the White River Conference Center, 600 W. Sunshine in Springfield. 

The 26th annual Greater Springfield Garage Sale will be held Saturday (1/26) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday (1/27) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. 

A Festival of Eagles will be held Saturday (1/26) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, 774 Ozark St. in Stella, MO.  The event will feature spotting scopes, games for kids and educational tables. 

Build-It Saturday starts Saturday morning (1/26) at 11 at the Republic Branch Library for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade.  Building materials will be provided.

Celebrate National Seed Swap Day Saturday (1/26) from 1 to 3 at the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library.  Take seeds and swap them with other gardeners.  Even if you don’t have seeds to share, you’re welcome to participate.
