  • The film “Swing Vote” will be shown tonight (4/17) at 6:30 at the Library Station.
  • At 4 this afternoon (4/17) at the Brentwood Branch Library, adults are invited to hear Charles J. Shields, author of “Mockingbird: A Portrait of Harper Lee” and “I Am Scout” talk about why he chose to write a biography of Lee and the surprises he encountered along the way.
  • A Missouri Town Hall Forum on Energy will be held tonight (4/17) from 6:30 to 8:30 at Phelps Center for Gifted Education in Springfield.
  • Phi Sigma Pi at Missouri State will hold a Sleepout for the Homeless from 4 this afternoon (4/17) until 8 tomorrow morning (4/18) in the parking lot of Hobby Lobby on E. Battlefield. The event is designed to raise money for the homeless.
  • The Lebanon-Laclede County Public Library Foundation will host the Colors of the Ozarks Fine Arts Exhibit and Sale tonight (4/17) from 7 to 9 and tomorrow (4/18) from 10 to 4 at the Library, 915 S. Jefferson in Lebanon.
  • Special Olympics athletes will compete in the annual Southwest Area Spring Games today (4/17) and tomorrow (4/18) at Fred Hughes Stadium in Joplin.
  • The Friends of the Burrell Autism Center will host a Community Autism Awareness Fair tomorrow (4/18) from 10 to 1 at Burrell Park, 1300 Bradford Parkway. There will be face painting, inflatables, live music and lots of information about autism.
