Two More Greene County Residents Die Of COVID-19

KSMU Archives

The announcement of the two new deaths from COVID-19 in Greene County comes after last week’s report from the Springfield-Greene County Health Department had no fatalities from the illness.

According to the department, they were a man in his 60s and a man in his 90s.  One had an underlying health condition that put him at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19.  The other was in a long-term care facility.  Both fatalities occurred this month.

A total of 429 Greene County residents has died of COVID-19.

Public health experts say, even when you’re vaccinated, you should remain vigilant and continue to wear masks, watch your distance, wash your hands, stay home if you’re sick, limit large social gatherings and minimize travel.

You can find COVID-19 vaccine information at vaccine417.com or call 417-874-1211.
