The Springfield Board of Education has approved the calendar for the 2015-2016 school year.  The first day of school is set for August 13. The last day will be Thursday, May 25, but it could be as early as May 17 depending on snow days.

The calendar also includes:

  • 172 student contact days--an increase over previous years that had 170 contact days.  The estimated cost of the two additional contact days is $186,104.13.
  • Winter break will be December 18-January 1
  • Spring break will be March 7-11.
