Rapid Molecular COVID-19 Tests Now Available At Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers

Michele Skalicky

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is now offering rapid COVID-19 testing at all its locations.  According to a news release, the tests are able to determine if a patient is positive for COVID-19 in about 15 minutes.

Health officials say rapid testing helps stop the spread of COVID-19 since infected patients can quickly quarantine and inform others they’ve been in close contact with.  And, according to Mercy, those who test negative can get back to work and school more quickly.

Mercy is using Abbott ID NOW molecular tests.

Patients will first have a virtual visit with a provider, and they’ll be given same-day or next-day appointments.

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care centers are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
