Missouri State University’s Homecoming 2016 promises fun and entertainment for alumni, students, faculty, staff and community members.
Themed “Welcome Home,” events for students take place Oct. 9-15, while alumni and community events are Oct. 14-15. Homecoming Headquarters will be set up in the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center.
Among the highlights for Homecoming Weekend this year include:
- Class of 1966 50th Reunion Luncheon and Campus Tour: Oct. 14, 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Meyer Alumni Center
- Welcome Home Reception: Oct. 14, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
- Homecoming Concert featuring the Pointer Sisters: Oct. 14, 8 p.m., Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts
- Bears on the Square: Oct. 14-15, all day, downtown Springfield
- Homecoming Parade: Oct. 15, 9 a.m., John Q. Hammons Parkway
- Breakfast with Boomer: Oct. 15, 10 a.m., Meyer Library
- Golden Bears Reunion Luncheon: Oct. 15, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Plaster Student Union Ballroom West
- BearFest Village: Oct. 15, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. north of Plaster Stadium
- Bears Football Game: Oct. 15, 2 p.m., Plaster Stadium
