Greene County Assessor Rick Kessinger is reminding residents that March 1st is the deadline to return 2019 Individual and Business Personal Property Assessment lists.  If the forms are filed late, you’ll have to pay a penalty ranging from $15 to $105, depending on the assessed value.

A business or individual with taxable personal property as of January 1, 2019 is required to declare that property to the assessor. Some of the property to declare includes: motor vehicles, boats, trailers, livestock, farm machinery, and business related furniture and equipment, according to county officials.

If you have any questions or have not received an assessment list, contact the Assessor’s Office at 417-868-4195, or visit room 37 in the Greene County Historic Courthouse. The courthouse is located at 940 N. Boonville Ave.
