Authorities identify human remains found in Greene County

KSMU - Ozarks Public Radio

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Authorities in Greene County say they’ve identified the human remains found last week along a farm road, and the death is being investigated as a homicide.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday that the remains were those of 39-year-old Russell Long of Willard. Long’s body was found Friday by employees of the Greene County Highway Department along Farm Road 59.

Long was reported missing April 6 and had not been seen by relatives since March 31.
