Springfield Public Schools Superintendent Dr. John Jungmann will present his plan for moving the district forward tonight.

Jungmann, who began at SPS in July, is prepared to share what he learned following 90 days of listening sessions. He has been working to develop an understanding of the school district’s culture and the community’s expectations. His report is based on input from more than 1,500 stakeholders.

Jungmann came to Springfield from Kansas City, where he led the Liberty School District on the city’s northeast side. Prior to that he was the superintendent in Monett.

Tonight’s presentation will be held as part of the SPS Board’s study session, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Kraft Administrative Center, 1359 E. St. Louis St. The public is welcome to attend the meeting or may view it live via the district website here. The full entry plan report will be published on the website following the meeting.
