Absentee Ballots Now Available in Greene County for April 2 Election

Michele Skalicky

Absentee voting is underway for eligible voters who are unable to cast ballots at their usual polling places for the General Municipal Election on April 2.

The April Greene County ballot includes a wide variety of candidates and issues in nine cities, 11 school districts and two fire protection districts.  Springfield voters will elect city council members and decide whether the ¼-cent capital improvements sales tax should be continued.  Springfield, Nixa, Rogersville, Strafford and Pleasant Hope all have school bond issues on the ballot.

Absentee ballots are available at the Greene County Archives/Elections Center, at 1126 N. Boonville Ave, Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm until March 20th.  If you are homebound or out of town, you can request a ballot by mail with a handwritten note or you canfill out a form on the Greene County Clerk’s website, print it out and mail it in.

Mailed ballots must be notarized and received by the clerk’s office before 7pm on Election Day.
