City Council Discusses Plans for Student Advisory Committee
Springfield City Council is moving ahead with creating a university student advisory council. KSMU’s Matthew Barnes reports.
The purpose of the student advisory council would be to hear from the community’s youth to discuss civic matters.
The proposed council would consist of three students each from Missouri State, Drury University, Evangel University and Ozarks Technical Community College.
City Council members and the Mayor would meet with the students about twice a year.
Council discussed the plan over its council lunch earlier this month.
