Harry Moore

Co-host of "Seldom Heard Music"

A volunteer with Ozarks Public Broadcasting since 2002, Harry has served as the co-host of KSMU’s bluegrass program “Seldom Heard Music,” alongside Mike Smith. He enjoys interviewing and interacting with various artists and musicians, and has had the privilege of meeting the likes of Rhonda Vincent, Mac Wiseman, Normal Blake, Vassar Clements and D.A. Callaway, to name a few.

Harry is a Springfield native and a graduate from Central High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the 1960s before becoming a computer operator and programmer for the Frisco Railroad. Harry earned bachelors and masters degrees from Drury University, after which he held several different computer programming positions, including as a teacher and working for several government agencies. Upon retirement in 2002 from the FDIC in Washington, D.C., Harry returned to Springfield where he’s volunteered ever since.
