Ozarks Healthcare Offers Free Athletic Physicals, COVID-19 Vaccines To Student Athletes

A healthcare system in an area with a low vaccination rate is offering COVID-19 vaccines for student athletes.

Ozarks Healthcare is located in West Plains in Howell County.  The county’s vaccination rate is currently 18.2 percent, and 23.1 percent have initiated vaccination, according to the Missouri Health Department.

The healthcare system will offer free athletic physicals from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, and the Pfizer vaccine will be offered at that time.  That will be at Ozarks Healthcare Pediatrics, 312 Kentucky in West Plains.  The vaccine is available for those 12 and over.  Students will need to submit a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian.
