Drury University is planning to hold in-person commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday, May 14 and 15.

A ceremony for graduates of Drury GO and the Graduate College will be held Friday night, and for the traditional residential day school on Saturday morning.

Drury held in-person commencements last August and December, and the same public health rules that were in place then will apply this weekend.  There will be temperature checks at the door, and masks are required for participants and visitors.  Seats in the stands will be blocked off for social distancing, and each students could invite a limited number of family and friends.

Instead of a commencement speaker, Drury will recognize John and Crystal Beuerlein with the second Spirit of Drury Award.  It was created to recognize those who have distinguished themselves throughout their careers and who embody Drury’s mission and goals.  The Beuerleins graduated from Drury in 1975.
