Greene County public officials and members of the Sons of the American Revolution held a Flag Day ceremony on the lawn of the historic Greene County courthouse Monday morning.
Commissioner Harold Bengsch was awarded a lifetime achievement award for his public service, which includes serving as Commissioner of the 1st District in Greene County and work with the Ozark Mountain chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.
This year was the 104th National Flag Day, originally conceived by former President Woodrow Wilson in 1916, meant to celebrate the anniversary of the adoption of the original American flag.
