America Recycles Day To Be Celebrated In Springfield

The City of Springfield Environmental Services is celebrating America Recycles Day by showing the documentary, Just Eat It:  A Food Waste Story.  It starts Thursday night (11/14) at 7 at the Moxie.  After the showing, the department will talk about ways Springfield is addressing the issue of food waste.

The film follows food lovers Jen and Grant as they pledge to quit grocery shopping and survive only on foods that would otherwise be thrown away.

America Recycles Day is Friday, November 15, and is a program of Keep America Beautiful.

Springfield Environmental Services will celebrate by offering treats and coffee and giveaways to those who take recyclables to the Lone Pine and Franklin Avenue Recycling Centers.
