Children’s author and poet David Harrison has just come out with his 96th book, and he’ll be at The Library Center Tuesday evening for a reading and a celebration of the new book, including free family activities.

The book, “And The Bullfrogs Sing:  A Life Cycle Begins,” is a non-fiction book for young readers.  Harrison stopped by KSMU to talk about it and about Tuesday’s event, and you can hear the interview below:

And that party for old and young alike is Tuesday night, May 14 at 6:30 at The Library Center , 4653 S. Campbell Avenue in Springfield.    A folk musician will kick off the program, followed by a visit of live amphibians, a hopping contest for young kiddos and refreshments—and let’s not hop over the main event, a reading of the book by Harrison and a chance to get his autograph.

This marks the 50th year David Harrison has been a children’s author.
