Missouri’s governor, Mike Parson, said in his first State of the State address that one of his primary goals is beefing up the state's workforce.

There is a program in Springfield that offers both career and personal skills to adults for free.

The Edge Community Technology Center offers instructor-led classes on topics like Internet Basics, Facebook, Microsoft Excel, and File Management.

Tutorials are offered almost every day in the month of February.

If you can’t make it into class in person, there’s a virtual learning center as well, where an instructor will guide you through sessions at your own pace.

Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing is a program for people hoping todevelop typing skills, and it's available in both English and Spanish.

The Edge Community Technology Center is located on the lower level of the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library at 397 E. Central Street.
