SW MO Counts Serves as Dashboard for the Community

swmocounts.org

In this segment of the League of Women Voters' Making Democracy Work, Leslie Carrier talks with Kathryn Wall, public health information administrator for the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, about the new website, swmocounts.org, which serves as a community dashboard.

According to Wall, SW MO Counts began as a collective effort to improve our community in a measurable way.  It serves as a resource for the SW MO region for a variety of indicators.  Some examples of data listed are housing affordability, home ownership, median household income, the unemployment rate and the pollen count.

Counties involved include Greene, Dallas, Polk, Christian, Webster, Taney and Stone.

Any organization with reliable and valid data is encouraged to share that information.  To submit content or for more information, contact Wall at 417-874-1205 or kwall@springfieldmo.gov.
