Habitat Trying New Project

Habitat for Humanity Springfield is trying to build three new houses faster than it has before.

KSMU's Matt Petcoff has the story...

The concept of a Builders Blitz is nothing new to Habitat Springfield.

Anna Codutti is the director of development for Habitat Springfield.

And, beginning this Saturday, Codutti says they're going to try something new... building three houses at once... in a months time.

The plan is for these three houses to be completed in about four weeks.

The previous blitz homes were built one at a time.Part of the reason behind this project is Habitat wants to meet its goal of 12 new houses at its newest community, Legacy Trails, by August.

Codutti says Habitat Springfield is still in need of manpower and donations to help complete this project.
