Participating School Districts in GO CAPS Growing

GO CAPS
Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce

A thirteenth school has joined the Greater Ozarks Centers for Advanced Professional Studies, or GO CAPS.

High school juniors and seniors in the Spokane School District can now take part in the career exploration program.

The program will start its second year in August. GO CAPS combines hands-on career experiences and classroom learning by partnering students and employers on real-life projects. It allows students to choose from four strands: Entrepreneurship and Business, Engineering and Manufacturing, Medicine and Health Care and Technical Solutions.

For 2.5 hours each school day, students meet at businesses in Springfield, working on real projects and interacting with mentors and instructors. Students receive both high school and optional dual college credit.

The GO CAPS program is managed by The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce
