School Supplies Needed for Local Kids

CoxHealth

A local church and two local healthcare systems are teaming up to help send kids back to school with the supplies they need.

Stuff the bus, a project of James River Church, involves filling a school bus with as many donated school supplies as possible.

CoxHealth and Mercy employees are volunteering to help out with the event.  The public can take backpacks, glue, scissors, 24-pack crayons, notebooks and other school supplies to Cox South today (7/23) from 11 to 1 and to Cox North from 2 to 3.

Supplies can also be dropped off through tomorrow morning (7/24) at the second floor reception desk at Mercy Clinic Business Office, 620 S. Glenstone.

Donations will also be taken this Saturday (7/25) from 8 am to noon at any Walmart store in Springfield, Nixa, Ozark and Republic.

Last year, 1,705 backpacks filled with supplies were given to 22 local elementary schools.
