Springfield Students to Change Schools This Fall

Fremont School

As students from one Springfield elementary move to a new school this fall, students from another elementary will move to the vacated building.  Fremont Elementary will relocate to the old Sherwood Elementary, 1813 S. Scenic, for the new school year as Fremont's building undergoes construction.  Sherwood students and staff will move to their new building on S. Golden in August.

The Springfield School District says bus transportation will be provided for all Fremont students to the new site.

The district says the move is being made for the safety of Fremont students and staff and to allow uninterrupted work time for construction crews.  The renovation and expansion of the Fremont facility are part of the 2013 bond projects.
