MSU Fall Enrollment Up

Missouri State University has seen an increase in enrollment for the 14th time in the past 16 years. KSMU’s Melanie Foehrweiser has more.

A release from the University says undergraduate enrollment at MSU’s Springfield campus is up one half of a percent from where it was last fall. Graduate enrollment is up four percent. The College of Health and Human Services, which introduced two new graduate programs this fall, has seen one of the biggest increases. The college also increased the number of students it accepts into many of its undergraduate programs to meet the need for health professionals. The Darr School of Agriculture has also seen a substantial enrollment growth. But the Springfield campus isn’t alone. Enrollment at MSU’s West Plains Campus is up one percent, or 19 students. This increase gives West Plains an opening day enrollment of just under 1900 students while enrollment at the Springfield campus totals just over 18,800.
