The Department of Defense has released the name of a local soldier who was killed in Iraq. KSMU’s Justin Lux reports.
According to the DOD, Pfc. Dylan T. Reid, a 24 year old from Springfield, was killed during a non-combat related incident.
Reid was in Amarah, Iraq, serving “Operation New Dawn.” That’s the name given to the U.S. military’s operation in Iraq now that all combat missions have ended there.
He was deployed from Fort Carson, Colorado.
For KSMU News, I’m Justin Lux.
