Tomorrow evening, three members of the Students in Free Enterprise or SIFE team from Drury University will leave for a trip to Zambia. KSMU's Missy Shelton reports.

Tomorrow (Friday) evening, three members of the Students in Free Enterprise or SIFE team from Drury University will leave for a trip to Zambia.

They'll have their advisor with them and their tour guide is a former member of the Peace Corps who worked in Zambia and now runs a Springfield-based non-profit that does outreach to Zambia.

Chris Gilstrap is a member of the Drury SIFE team who will be heading to Africa.

Gilstrap says the purpose of the trip is to bring water filtration devices to families who will then learn how to manufacture and sell them.

He says it provide the family with clean water and a way to earn an income.

In preparation for the trip, Gilstrap and two of his fellow SIFE team members went to relief agency Convoy of Hope here in Springfield for training.

Gilstrap says Drury's SIFE team would like to use this trip to Zambia as a springboard for other outreach projects in Africa.
