Head of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D to Retire

The commanding officer of the Missouri State Highway Patrol has announced his retirement. Captain Juan Villanueva will retire October 1.

Villanueva joined the Highway Patrol in 1987. He was promoted to captain and designated commaning officer of Troop D, which includes Springfield, in 2008. Last year, the Missouri House of Representatives recognized Capt. Villanueva's leadership with a resolution.
