Operation Dry Water is a national campaign that encourages marine law enforcement officers to coordinate special patrols the last weekend in June.

The MSHP says troopers will focus their efforts over the weekend of June 26-28 to detect and apprehend intoxicated operators.

Missouri boat operators found to have a blood alcohol content of .08%or greater will be arrested for boating while intoxicated, according to the patrol.

Last year during Operation Dry Water in Missouri, local, state and federal officers removed 318 intoxicated boat operators from the water.

The patrol says special enforcement operations will continue throughout the summer.
