Springfield’s Hotel Vandivort, a recently opened boutique hotel in downtown, is the city’s first hotel to be awarded a Four Diamond Rating by AAA professional hospitality inspectors.

In a news release, Co-Owner John McQueary calls the designation another piece in allowing Springfield to compete with larger metropolitan areas.

“We are incredibly excited to bring this high-end hospitality experience into the Springfield market,” said McQueary. “Our city is ever growing and well-traveled individuals are increasingly demanding personalized service and high-design. As an upscale downtown boutique property we are uniquely suited for these guests.”

Only five percent of the more than 28,000 properties approved by AAA are designated Four Diamond.

According to AAA, hotels at the Four Diamond level are committed to providing every guest with a personalized experience and attentive service in comfortable, high-quality surroundings.

Hotel Vandivort opened this summer after a more than two year renovation. Constructed as a Masonic Temple in 1906, the now boutique hotel offers 50 high-design guest rooms, 12 suites and two premiere suites, as well as a restaurant on the first floor.
