Citizens in and around Joplin have until Tuesday to comment on a plan being drafted by the Joplin Area Transportation Study Organization.
The 2016 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is an instrument for coordinating transportation and comprehensive planning in the metropolitan region. The program also outlines the study organization’s fiscally constrained planning projects for the 2016 fiscal year.
Officials say participation from citizens in the Metro area is the most important part of the planning process as they can identify everyday transportation issues that affect their daily lives. The JATSO Policy Board will review this item for approval on October 29 at 1:30 p.m.
