Springfield Call Center Adding 140 New Jobs, Hiring Now

A call center in Springfield is adding 140 new jobs. KSMU’s Jennifer Moore has details.

Gold Mountain Communications already has 180 employees, and it’s getting ready to nearly double that. The call center deals with customer service and sales. It started in downtown Springfield just two years ago with 15 people. Rob Dixon is an economic developer with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

He said the company’s rapid growth was due to a combination of factors.

“One is innovative and entrepreneurial leadership. The management team over there just had the foresight to take advantage of opportunities when they were presented. Some of the assets that we have in Springfield, I think, were conducive to helping that company grow, namely the workforce, especially in that line of work—customer service in particular,” Dixon said.
