The Watershed Committee of the Ozarks will host their annual Summer Gala tomorrow night (7/18) at the Springfield Art Museum.  Michele Skalicky talks with the organizations executive director, Mike Kromrey, to learn more.

Jaws—A Parody will be presented by A Class Act Productions tonight (7/17) and July 23 and 24 at 319 Event Center, 319 W. Walnut.  Tickets are $12.  For more information, 766-3139.

The Movies at Founders Park Series continues this weekend at Founders Park in downtown Springfield.   “Boxtrolls” will be shown tonight (7/17) and “School of Rock” tomorrow night (7/18) at dusk.  Free tickets are available in advance at Chesterfield, Doling and Dan Kinney Family Centers, at Mediacom Ice Park, Mediacom offices and the Busch Municipal Building.  Take blankets or lawn chairs.

The Zizzer Pride Band will give a concert at the MSU-West Plains Bell Tower at Franklin and Main in West Plains tonight (7/17) at 7.

Kids three to six-years-old can learn about fireflies during the program, “Nature’s Nightlights,” today (7/17) at 11 am and 1:30 pm at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.  To register, 888-4237.

The Marshfield Farmers Market will be open today (7/10) from 3 to 7 pm at 1331 Spur Drive in Marshfield.

A Combo Show at the Harlin Museum in West Plains opens today (7/17).  “Outside the Box” will feature sculpture, pottery, metal works, textiles, quilts, wall hangings and woodcarvings.  Hours are noon to 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday.

The 6th annual Fiber U will be held tomorrow (7/18) from 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday (7/19) from 8 am to 3 pm at the Cowan Civic Center in Lebanon.  The event will feature 41 fiber arts classes taught by artist from the Midwest including weaving, felting, rug making, spinning and more.  For more information, click here.

The 39th annual Ice Cream Social, hosted by the Fair Grove Historical and Preservation Society, will be held tomorrow night (7/18) at 5:30 at Wommack Mill in Fair Grove.  There will be antique cars, trucks and tractors on display, bounce houses and slides, food, tours of Wommack Mill and fireworks.  For more information, 833-3467.

The exhibit, “Start Your Engines—the History of Motor Racing in the Ozarks” is at the Springfield-Greene County History Museum in the Fox Theatre on Park Central Square through August 29th.  Hours are 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The Watershed Summer Gala 2015 will be held tomorrow night (7/18) at 5 at the Springfield Art Museum.  The evening will feature the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, local beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction featuring local artists, Watercolor USA, live music and more.  Tickets are $40.  For more information, watershedcommittee.org or 866-1127.  Proceeds benefit the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks.
