The Got Milk? Mobile Drink Well. Live Well. Tour is in Springfield through Saturday. You can visit one of three locations to enjoy free milk and health activities. KSMU’s Adam Murphy reports.

The tour will have several stops in the Springfield area. Jennifer Ferm is a Got Milk? representative.“Milk is naturally nutrient rich, and so we’re hosting events throughout the city to teach residents on the wellness benefits of milk,” Ferm said.

The tour will offer free samples of fat free and low fat milk, smoothies, free health assessments, five-minute massages, and they will be taking souvenir milk mustache photos.Got Milk? promotes drinking three eight ounce glasses of milk each day. Organizers of the tour say milk’s natural nutrients are better than what you find in many health drinks on the market. Ferm says that drinking milk may also be a way to save money. “A lot of these beverages are sold for two or three dollars, but milk is actually 25 cents per eight ounce glass in a gallon, if you break it down,” she said. The Drink Well. Live Well. Tour will be at the Ozark Empire Fair Saturday near gate one from 11am to 7 pm. More information is available at www.whymilk.com. For KSMU News, I’m Adam Murphy.
