Severe Weather Less Likely Now

The chance for severe weather in Southwest Missouri is dwindling.  Meteorologist Steve Lindenberg with the National Weather Service in Springfield, says the eastern Ozarks could see large hail.

The chance of rain continues today.  The National Weather Service at the Springfield-Branson National Airport says, as of 7:20 this morning, an inch of rain had fallen there...

"There's still quite a bit of moisture that's out in the Plains that's going to be heading our way ahead of a big upper level system, so as that progresses eastward today we're gonna see quite a bit more rain," he said.

Lindenberg says to take a jacket or coat today.  Temperatures are expected to fall into the mid 40s by afternoon.
