Severe storms are expected to move into the Ozarks today.  Andy Boxell, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Springfield, says there are a couple of areas of thunderstorms they're concerned about for this afternoon...

"We've got a line right now that stretches across western Missouri back into north central and northeastern Oklahoma.  That line's gonna continue to push to the east, northeast over the next couple of hours, perhaps beginning to affect the Springfield area as we head into the mid and late afternoon hours.  In addtion to that, we've got an area of storms that's starting to develop across western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma, and those storms may expand in coverage and also increase in strength as we head through the afternoon, and that may begin to affect portions of southwestern and south central Missouri later this afternoon as well," he said.

Boxell says the entire region could see strong winds and possible tornadoes with the storms.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 3 pm Tuesday.
