  • The Brentwood Branch Library invites you to Pumpkinpalooza today and tomorrow (10/19 & 10/20).  Take in a decorated pumpkin based on your favorite picture book or literary character to be displayed at the library.  Pumpkins will be judged and prizes awarded.  For details, 883-1974.
  • Tonight (10/19) is Open Mic Night for adults at the Park Central Branch Library starting at 7.
  • The American Legion & Auxiliary “Fear Factory XI” haunted house, at 1401 Bill Virdon Boulevard in West Plains, will be open from 6:30 to midnight tonight and tomorrow night (10/19-10/20).  Admission is $6 or $5 with the donation of a nonperishable food item. 
  • Acoustic Jam on the Square is held Friday nights at 7 on the Square in West Plains.  Take instruments if you want to join in and lawn chairs.
  • Christos House will host a documentary night at the West Plains Civic Center Theatre tonight (10/19) at 6.  See the film, “Poser and Control:  Domestic Violence in America” and “A New Kind of Strength:  The Men’s Movement to End Domestic Violence.”  The films will be followed by a panel discussion and candlelight vigil.
  • The MSU field hockey team will host Kent State today (10/18) at 12:30 at Plaster Sports Complex.
