Every summer for the past 50 years, Missouri State University's Tent Theater has been entertaining audiences with classic productions. KSMU Matthew Barnes has details on the anniversary.
In honor of the theater group's 50th anniversary, Governor Jay Nixon is scheduled to attend the Golden Gala Performance this weekend. Bob Willenbrink is head of MSU’s department of theatre and dance.
“We are going to feature musical selections from shows throughout the 50 years. We’ll be featuring numbers from Little Marry Sunshine which was the first musical that was done. All the way up to 9 to 5 which was the musical done most recently this summer,” said Willenbrink
The event will be held at 2 .p.m. Sunday (July 15th) at the Juanita K Hammons Hall and will be free to the public. For KSMU News, I’m Matthew Barnes.
