Award-winning alum to discuss media technology, pop culture

Award-winning director, writer and producer Sean McEwen will be at Missouri State University on March 27 to discuss how the ever changing world of media technology influences pop culture, the arts and general interactivity.

McEwen, who is a an MSU alum, has earned various directing awards, including an award for his film “Happy’s Last Wish” which was the follow up to the DEM Films Production, “For the Love of the Film.”  His feature directorial debut, “Albino Farm,” received both critical and audience acclaim – and is a cult favorite among horror enthusiasts.

McEwen will speak at 7 p.m. March 27 in the Plaster Student Union Theater.

During the presentation, McEwen will also show a music video his company has created featuring a “power-group” of heavy-metal all-stars.  He will discuss the multi-platform approach filmmakers, producers and the record label took to create awareness for the band and its tour.
