  • The Fall Film Series continues tonight (11/25) at 7 at the Park Central Branch Library.  See the rated G film, “Gnomeo and Juliet.”
  • Ice skate for free (you’ll just have to pay $2.50 for skate rental) tonight and tomorrow night (11/25 & 11/26) at 5:30 at Mediacom Ice Park.  It’s part of the Festival of Lights celebration.  To learn more, www.itsalldowntown.com.
  • Carriage rides will be offered through downtown Springfield as part of the Festival of Lights from 6 to 9 tonight and tomorrow night (11/25 & 11/26) on Park Central Square.  The cost is $5 or $20 per carriage load tonight.  Rides tomorrow night are free.
  • Storytimes will be held today (11/25) at various Springfield-Greene County Library branches.  For more information, www.thelibrary.org.
  • Kids in grades six through 12 are invited to the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library this afternoon (11/25) at 3 for the program “Boredom Busters.”  Enjoy games, crafts, movies and special events. 
  • The S & G PBR Bull Ride will be held in the West Plains Civic Center Arena tonight and tomorrow night (11/25-11/26) at 7.  For more information, www.civiccenter.net.
  • The Springfield Conservation Nature Center will have a Discovery Table set up today (11/25).  “Let’s Talk Turkey” will run from 1 to 4—stop by anytime.
  • Eureka Springs School of the Arts will host the 1stAnnual Fine Art and Craft Show and Sale today and tomorrow (11/25-11/26) from noon to 6 at the Ozarks Convention Center.
  • The Holiday Store opens tomorrow (11/26) at the Library Center.  Kids can shop for affordable gifts for family and friends.  Opening day for the store will begin with the Holiday Open House from 8:30 to 10:30 am.  The Store’s hours are 9 am to 7:30 pm tomorrow, 10 to 7:30 Nov. 28thto Dec. 3rdand 1 to 4 pm Sunday (11/27) and December 4th.  The Holiday Store at the Library Station will be open on December 3rdfrom 9 am to 7:30 pm with a Holiday Open House from 8:30-10:30 am.  For more information, 883-6936.
  • Santa’s elves and people in Christmas costumes will be hiding throughout downtown Eureka Springs today (11/25).  Visitors will be given maps for exploration and receive gifts from each location.  The event begins at 3 pm in Basin Spring Park.  Santa arrives at 5 to visit with children and present them with a goodie bag.  He’ll also be at the park Saturday (11/26) from 1 to 3.  For details, www.eurekasprings.org.
  • Ozark Whittlers and Woodcarvers will demonstrate their craft tomorrow (11/26) between 10 and 4 at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.
