Few People Turn Out at Polls Tuesday

Very few people turned out to vote in Springfield’s rescheduled City Council primary election Tuesday. Voter turnout was just 2.57%.Incumbent Council members Jerry Compton and Doug Burlison will each face one opponent in the April general election.Compton, candidate for Zone 3, will face Stephen Pennington. Burlison, candidate for General Seat C, will face Christopher Donegan.
