Drury University will be offering Dallas County residents their first local opportunity for higher education. KSMU’s Chasity Mayes reports.
In the Spring of 2010 Drury University will begin offering college courses at the Career Center in Louisburg, Missouri, and at Buffalo High School on Wednesday evenings. A variety of undergraduate courses will be offered including computer and psychology classes.
Dan Beach, Interim Dean of the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies says Dallas County’s need for higher education played a role in why it was chosen as a location.
Beach also says that although no new plans are currently in the works, Warsaw, Missouri is one place the university is keeping in mind for the future.
Drury now offers courses in 12 different sites around southwest Missouri. For admission information, contact the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies at 740-4638.
