The Greene County Juvenile Drug Court now has an administrator and received a grant this week that will allow the program to expand. KSMU's Missy Shelton reports.

Lisa Street has been appointed as Greene County's first ever Family and Juvenile Drug Court Administrator. Street says her position will help the court operate more smoothly and faster.

And there was other news today related to Greene County's Juvenile Drug Court. It received a $425,000 Juvenile Drug Court-Reclaiming Futures grant. The funds will allow the existing program to expand. It began in January as a pilot project. As Street explains, there seems to be a need to expand the juvenile drug court.

In her new capacity as Family and Juvenile Drug Court Administrator, Lisa Street will manage the grant.
