Red Cross to Offer Babysitting Training Camp
Summer is full of activities, sometimes leaving parents no choice but to find a babysitter.
KSMU's Matt Petcoff explains what potential sitters can do to prepare for anything that comes their way...
Trusting a babysitter with your children can be a stressful experience for parents.
That's why the Great Ozarks chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting a babysitter's camp designed to teach caretaking skills to potential sitters.
Dana (Day-na) Brown is an Instructor Training Coordinator with the Red Cross.
She says this 5 day camp will teach everything from emergency training to cooking lessons.
The camp starts on July 9th and runs from 8:30 a-m to 3:30 p-m each day.
There is a one-hundred and fifty dollar fee, covering the camp with lunch and snacks provided each day.
Pre-registration is required by contacting the Red Cross at 832-9500.
